BLACKRAINBOW did team up with CURTIS KULIG to launch the very first “artprint” of our new artist series. Curtis KULIG is not only a friend and a BLACKRAINBOW extended family member but he is one of the most 360° contemporary new york artist. He is now one of the most famous NYC face. He is doing some of the biggest advertising campaigns and massive magazine covers (DKNY,colette, LUI, in bed with, vogue…) but also still producing “popstreet” pieces. We did choose his most iconic punchline “LOVE ME”. Probably is most well known signature from now. BLACKRAINBOW did ask to “le savoir-faire” of IDEM PARIS to print ultra-premium “LOVE ME” art prints. Located at 49, rue du Monparnasse, Idem studio was originally built by the printer Emile Dufrenoy in 1880, as a space to install his lithographic presses. Fernand Mourlot (1895-1988) and his brothers effectively brought about the renaissance of art lithography in Paris between the two World Wars. They worked successively with Matisse, Picasso, Miro, Dubuffet, Braque, Chagall, Giacometti, Léger, Cocteau, Calder, and many other masters of 20th century painting. Now working with JR, David LYNCH, BALDESSARI…. “LOVE ME” is signed and numeroted (35 prints only) and sold 1200 euros each. Size 78x120cm.
